Event management extends project management to the development of large scale events such as festivals, conferences, concerts or conventions. FileMaker is an ideal database to coordinate the budgeting, scheduling, site selection, permitting, transportation, arranging for speakers or entertainers, arranging decor, event security and catering for events. Using WebDirect, service providers can make real-time entries in the database to advise the event manager of their status and any problems that might have come up. FileMaker also allows for “flags” to advise the event manager of changes entered by or issues needing resolution from the service providers.
